DashStrom Celebrates Five Amazing Dash Events Across Four Schools Honoring the 10th Anniversary of Remake Learning Days 2026
What a milestone. This Spring, DashStrom joined Remake Learning Days 2026 as a proud host of the "Amazing Dash" across four Pittsburgh-area schools, including: Hampton Township School Distict. Shady Side Academy, Divine Mercy Academy and Gateway School District's Evergreen Elementary. We brought our signature Amazing Dash event to families in a special way. Everyone had a blast. See for yourself:
Five events. Four schools. Hundreds of kids and caregivers, giving it their all, laughing and discovering what they’re made of — together. What a fitting tribute to the 10th anniversary of Remake Learning Days, the world’s largest open house for hands-on, innovative learning. We couldn’t be more proud.
What Is Remake Learning Days?
Remake Learning Days (RLD) is an annual festival that connects kids, families, and educators through thousands of free, hands-on learning events each spring. Now celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026, Remake Learning Days is one of the world’s largest multi-site open houses for hands-on, innovative learning, rooted in Pittsburgh and now spanning regions across the U.S. and internationally — from Pennsylvania to New Zealand, the UK, and Uruguay.
This year’s festival included over 260 hands-on learning events in Southwestern Pennsylvania alone, hosted by libraries, schools, tech centers, parks, museums, play spaces, community centers and more, with activities for kids from pre-K through high school.
"Amazing Dash" Was a Challenge Combining High Energy and Joy
DashStrom's "Amazing Dash," our signature event this year brought kids and caregivers together to tackle fun challenges. Families rotated through short games — obstacle courses, relay races, coordination challenges, creative problem-solving — all designed to build confidence, resilience, and teamwork through the power of play.
The best part? Caregivers didn't just watch. They jumped in. Quite literally.
Every station was designed to be inclusive and age-appropriate. There were no winners and losers — just kids trying, adjusting, and trying again. That’s the DashStrom way: we grow through challenge, not ease.
Every Amazing Dash participant earned an “I Crushed It” sticker and DashStrom "I am powerful" bracelet — because they did.

The Schools That Showed Up
We are so grateful to the four schools and communities that opened their doors and brought their energy this year.
Hampton Township School District
Hampton invited us to join their Remake Learning Days event, "Portrait of a Talbot." We were delighted to tagalong with our "Amazing Dash" which proved to be quite popular! Families filled the space with laughter and friendly competition, and the kids showed us exactly what grit looks like when it’s wrapped in a really good time + achieving something special. We loved every minute.
Shady Side Academy Junior School — Two Amazing Dashes!
Shady Side Academy Junior School went all in — and then did it again. We hosted two Amazing Dash events here, and both had the kind of energy that makes you want to keep going long after the last station wraps. When we asked if we could host an "Amazing Dash" event, their principal said, "How about two?" And he was absolutely correct. The school was raring to go and brought together super fun families who found their dash in TWO distinct events. What an incredible community.
Divine Mercy Academy — Monroeville
Divine Mercy Academy took on our Remake Learning Days run with heart. The kids were all in from the very first station, and the caregivers weren’t far behind. This community reminded us why we do what we do.
Evergreen Elementary — Monroeville
The Evergreen families rounded out our Remake Learning Days "Amazing Dash" events with warmth, enthusiasm, and a seriously competitive spirit to their event. Watching caregivers cheer each other on as much as they cheered for their kids was one of the highlights of our whole season. You have to see it to believe it: even a tiny 18-month old found her dash!
That's What it Was All About: Finding Their Dash - In Pairs
DashStrom’s mission is to train every child’s growth mindset — because kids grow through challenge, not ease. Remake Learning Days is built on the same belief: that learning is best when it’s active, joyful, and connected to real people in real communities.
Being part of this festival’s 10th anniversary felt like joining a community that gets us. Because we are building something to inspire our community; our region. Just like Remake Learning did when it first began.
To every family who came out, every school that partnered with us, and to the entire Remake Learning Days community — thank you. You found your dash.
